A diplomatic life over 30 years has given me many travel and cultural opportunities, some of which are reflected in the images on this site. If we lose curiosity and wonder, or fail to appreciate the essential humanity of all people, no matter where they live or under whose authority they happen to fall, I feel that we lose a part of ourselves.
